WHITTIER, Calif. –Isaiah Holguin, 21, is a finance student at Menlo College in Atherton, California aspiring to step into the realm of business. “Interning at the LaRoche team has given me the opportunity to expand my network and build connections with financial advisors, loan officers, and title officers,” Holguin said.
The LaRoche Team is devoted to serving young college students in expanding their minds and preparing them for the competitive economy of today. For nine weeks, Holguin was integrated into the flow of the business, exposing him to the foundations of running a company.
“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”

He shadowed various company positions such as an Administrative Assistant, Inside Sales Associate, Realtors, and Mortgage Lenders. “When I was told I was going to shadow him [Richard Martinez, Executive Assistant] during his open house, I was extremely nervous. However, once the open house began, I loved it,” Holguin said. “It challenged me to work on my communication skills and presence with potential buyers and real estate agents.”
During his time interning with The LaRoche Team, he learned from the team, and delivered sensational returns allowing the company to continue to flourish. As a growing company, Holguin’s talent in auditing the company’s database along with sharing valuable insights during mastermind meetings played a significant role in expanding his knowledge. His relentless dedication coupled with eagerness to learn broadened his exposure to the inner workings of a small and successful Probate & Trust Real Estate Team.
Terry’s Insight
“As part of our business model, we welcome and are grateful for the opportunity to help young entrepreneurs who are attending college and learn firsthand the various facets of a real estate business. During the summer, Isaiah interned at our real estate office for nine weeks and learned different facets of the probate and trust real estate sales process. We were impressed with Isaiah’s drive, intelligence and determination to complete his business degree in four years and at age 22. Isaiah’s passion to learn about business was evident in his exemplary work ethic and serves as a role model for young business entrepreneurs who are preparing for careers in the business world. What was most enjoyable was Isaiah joining us in CrossFit’s 5:30 a.m. daily work outs for 8 weeks. Now this exudes complete work ethic!”
