The Fulfillment Fund of Los Angeles serves the community on a non-profit basis. It is an organization with the goal of empowering students through education, transforming individual lives, and creating a ripple effect through the whole community. The Fulfillment Fund does this through classroom instruction, mentoring, one-on-one college counseling and experiential learning opportunities. It plays a strong role in letting young people see the possibilities for themselves in what higher education offers them. It allows them to change their beliefs about what they are capable of achieving. The Fulfillment Fund is an empowering force for good, making college a reality for students growing up in educationally and economically under re-sourced communities.
The LaRoche Team Teams Up With Los Angeles Fulfillment Fund at Alexander Hamilton High School
On Monday, November 30, 2015, Alexander Hamilton High School hosted a ceremonial ribbon cutting to celebrate the renovation of their Fulfillment Fund classroom. The classroom provides a great back drop for college counseling for high school juniors and seniors. LaRoche Team member, Cristina Rodriguez helped make the renovation program possible. Everyone’s efforts resulted in new computers, inspirational, college-themed decorations and murals. It resulted in newly painted walls, and a completely new interior design plan that helps students get excited and motivated about learning.
Donations for the project also helped make it possible. The Alexander Hamilton High School Fulfillment Fund classroom renovation project is still accepting donations. They can be given through the website, http://www.classroomrenovation.org/donate.
We need more great programs like this one!
