With our previous careers in Law Enforcement, spanning 54 years collectively, and our son, Jonathan’s 8 years serving in the United States Marine Corps with 3 combat tours in Iraq, we have a high degree of appreciation for dedicated public service and a special reverence for fallen heroes.
The LaRoche Team is proud to be a part of Cross Fit Whittier coming up on Monday, Memorial Day. Also, the event has been dubbed the “Murph Workout”. In fact, that name comes in Honor and Memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy. Lt. Murphy of Patchogue NY, at age 29 was killed in Afghanistan, on June 28th, 2005. As LaRoche Team KW participates in Cross Fit Whittier, we will be doing so with Lt. Murphy, all fallen military and law enforcement personnel deeply in mind. We will be doing so with untold gratitude for their sacrifices and love of country.
It’s hard to put into words how much duty, honor, love of countrymen and country matters in the end game. Although meanwhile, we plan to help make Cross Fit Whittier a set of challenging and exciting games. We hope to help bring lasting attention to the values and strengths that live on in our fallen heroes and make us better as individuals and as a country.
LaRoche Team KW Participates In Cross Fit Whittier, The Murph Workout
The Murph Workout will be based on one of Lt. Mike Murphy’s favorite routines. Also, he originally named it “Body Armor”. In fact, wearing a twenty pound vest or body armor is encouraged for participants. As a result, events like the 1 mile Run will feature some participants wearing these additions. It simply adds to the focus on Mike and other heroes like him. It also adds to the challenge. And, the LaRoche Team welcomes the challenge! We welcome the unique chance to salute a great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and beautiful people who make it up.

It will be Terry and Steve LaRoche, plus Richard Martinez, from Keller Williams Realty participating on Monday. And, we look forward to it. We can’t wait to get going! In fact, we are training so as to be physically and mentally fit for the event and our real estate clients. Although, for us that’s nothing new. We bring a focus on duty, physical and mental fitness and service to our jobs each day. That’s just what we do. Also, as retired law enforcement officers, we bring added, unique strengths to the table. These strengths drive consistency in positive results. Plus, they include many, Value-Added services.
It’s a great honor to honor all fallen military and law enforcement personnel, as LaRoche Team KW participates in Cross Fit Whittier this Memorial Day.
