They make Whittier more than a key place. They make it special. That’s why when you cruise through Whittier, don’t be surprised if you feel the civic pride and edgy, hometown vibe.

Whittier brims with vibrancy and straight up appeal. Although, what if you want to get away from it all? No issue. The city edges Puente Hills. It’s a wildlife safety and habitat preserve. And, you can hike, bike or horseback ride on its many trails. Also, expect to find oak and sycamore trees galore, on rolling hills, offering spectacular views.  In fact, the Sycamore Canyon trail head is easy to get to diverting from Whittier Blvd. to Norwalk Blvd., then Workman Mill Road. Although, Arroyo Pescadero, off of Colima Road is your dog-friendly option. Whether it’s the city or countryside vibe you like, it’s easy to enjoy the spirit of Whittier CA.
